After Bridgewater was taken off by ambulance, the Vikings made a decision to cancel their practice with 25 minutes remaining – something that is extremely rare in football. Bridgewater was hurt in a non-contact drill in what can only be described as a freak accident when the knee buckled and he immediately went to the ground.
The third-year quarterback didn’t appear to be touched when he went down in the pocket and grabbed his left knee.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater looks set to is the rest of the National Football League season after suffering a “significant” knee injury during training yesterday. Many are searching for the Teddy Bridgewater injury video, but you won’t find it online. The knee was placed in an air cast before he was taken to a nearby hospital. The team said an MRI revealed a dislocated knee, tears to the ACL and other structural damage. Thankfully, Minnesota got good news Tuesday night when medical tests revealed Bridgewater had not suffered any nerve or arterial damage. He will undergo surgery in the next few days.
“Teddy has already displayed the attitude needed to overcome this injury and attack his rehab”, said Eric Sugarman, the director of sports medicine and head athletic trainer for the Vikings. He earned his first Pro Bowl nod last season when he passed for 3,231 yards with 14 touchdowns and helped lead the Vikings to an 11-5 record that earned them a playoff berth. The Vikings are calling Teddy Bridgewater’s injury a “Significant” one.
“I have confidence in Shaun”, Zimmer said.
“We’re gonna grieve today and be upset about it”, Zimmer told reporters.
Zimmer said the ambulance was called at the behest of the Vikings’ head trainer. We’re going to try to figure out as coaches the very best way we can beat the team we are playing that week. “I thought we had a chance to make it far in the playoffs, new stadium, but that kind of flashed before my eyes, and I thought, not this year”, said Matt Sims, Minnesota Vikings fan. “We all feel bad if it is real significant for Teddy”.
Teddy Bridgewater has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but expect him to come back, stronger and better than ever.
